Introduction
This
course provides individuals who are new to Microsoft Windows 2003 with the knowledge
necessary to understand and identify the tasks involved in supporting Windows
2003 networks. This is an introductory course designed to provide an overview
of networking concepts and how they are implemented in Windows 2003.
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Describe the principle features
of Windows 2003 and the basics of networking with Windows 2003
- Describe the types of user
accounts and the principle security features of a Windows 2003 network
- Identify
the tools used to perform various administrative tasks
- Describe
the fundamentals of TCP/IP, including what is an IP address, subnet mask and
default gateway
- Describe
the network communication models used in a Windows 2003 network
- Differentiate
between the various types of network architectures
